Game 45 Preview: Brooklyn Nets (20-24) at Indiana Pacers (35-10)
Lance Stephenson, Brooklyn native and graduate of famous Abraham Lincoln High School in Coney Island, was left off the Eastern Conference All-Star team on Thursday, and certainly isn't too happy about it

When: 7:00 PM EST; Saturday, February 1st, 2014

Where: Bankers Life Fieldhouse; Indianapolis, IN

TV: YES Network

It took a thorough pounding at the hands of the Oklahoma City Thunder to convince Nets coach Jason Kidd to return Deron Williams to the starting lineup. For the 1st time in awhile, Deron will start over Alan Anderson as Brooklyn will go with a pretty small two-point guard lineup to begin the game.

For the 2nd straight game, Andrei Kirilenko (calf) won't be able to play. Andray Blatche (hip) was injured in last night's loss, so he's out too.

Brooklyn native Lance Stephenson, snubbed from the Eastern Conference All-Star team, will be matching up against Joe Johnson, who was picked by the East's coaches over him, in all likelihood. That one is going to get interesting.

Probable Lineups

BKN- Deron Williams (PG), Shaun Livingston (SG), Joe Johnson (SF), Paul Pierce (PF), Kevin Garnett (C)

IND- George Hill (PG), Lance Stephenson (SG), Paul George (SF), David West (PF), Roy Hibbert (C)

Final Thoughts

Indiana is 21-2 at home this season while Brooklyn is 8-13 on the road. The Pacers are coming off a home loss to the Suns from Thursday night and certainly don't want to drop two in a row at Bankers Life. The chips are stacked against the Nets, but if they execute well enough, they can avoid a season series sweep, one of the bad ones.
