Game 48 Preview: Brooklyn Nets (22-25) at Detroit Pistons (19-29)
The Nets have had a lot of trouble with Detroit's twin towers down low the last two times these teams have played each other (both Detroit wins): Andre Drummond (left) and Greg Monroe (right)

When: 7:30 PM EST; Friday, February 7th, 2014

Where: The Palace at Auburn Hills; Auburn Hills, MI

TV: YES Network

The Pistons may not be having a good season overall, but they have certainly had a ton of success against the Brooklyn Nets specifically, whom Detroit is already 2-0 against. Tonight, in frigid Michigan at The Palace, without Kevin Garnett (rest), the Nets look to flip the script against the big and imposing Pistons, who create a matchup nightmare for Brooklyn.

Probable Lineups

BKN- Deron Williams (PG), Shaun Livingston (SG), Joe Johnson (SF), Paul Pierce (PF), Andray Blatche (C)

DET- Brandon Jennings (PG), Kyle Singler (SG), Josh Smith (SF), Greg Monroe (PF), Andre Drummond (C)

Final Thoughts

Andray Blatche will start in KG's place, giving Jason Kidd a little more size and bulk to use against Detroit's really big frontcourt of Josh Smith, Greg Monroe, and Andre Drummond. 2nd in the NBA in paint points, the Pistons are a nightmare for the long but relatively small Nets down low, and probably wil dominate the glass. That's what they did in their two earlier wins over Brooklyn this season. The Nets have to overcome this disadvantage if they want to win a 3rd-straight game overall and 1st against Detroit in the 2013-14 campaign.
