Three things to ponder

1. No Rondo, no problem

With or without Rajon Rondo (face), the Mavericks are an offensive juggernaut. They’re second in the NBA in field goals and points per game and record the third-fewest turnovers as well. Dallas boasts nice depth at the point with J.J. Barea, Devin Harris and Raymond Felton, and a matchup with the Kings’ dysfunctional defense doesn’t fare well for Sacramento.

2. Board meeting

Apart from Tyson Chandler, who averages 12 rebounds per game, the Mavericks are a mediocre rebounding team. They’re particularly weak protecting the offensive glass, where they surrender the second-most careens in the league, so DeMarcus Cousins and crew need to fight for second chances.

3. 48-minute effort

A 23-0 run by the Warriors on Tuesday epitomized the Kings’ lack of consistency for a full game this season. Sacramento can’t afford an uninspired stretch playing one of the Western Conference’s finest basketball clubs.
