Game 58 Preview: Chicago Bulls (33-26) at Brooklyn Nets (28-29)
The Bulls destroyed the Knicks yesterday at MSG, and Joakim Noah casually posted a triple-double. The Nets will try to prevent Noah's squad from completing the New York sweep later today.

When: 7:30 PM EST; Monday, March 3rd, 2014

Where: Barclays Center; Brooklyn, NY

TV: YES Network and NBA TV

Fresh off news that they're going to re-sign Jason Collins to a second 10-day contract, the Brooklyn Nets will try to beat the Chicago Bulls for the first time since Brooklyn's brutal 1st-round playoff loss to them last spring tonight at the Barclays Center. The Nets return home after being either on the road or on the All-Star break since February 12th, a date on which they beat the Charlotte Bobcats at Barclays.

Brooklyn is 0-2 against the Bulls this year, with a home defeat this past Christmas Day and road loss on February 13th, the team's last game before the break. The Nets seem to match up poorly against Tom Thibodeau's team, which is known for its incredible intensity on both ends of the floor, mostly defense though. Jason Kidd's team, on the other hand, is certainly not known for that, and has had trouble with Chicago's brand of basketball since it moved to Brooklyn two years ago.

Probable Lineups

CHI- Kirk Hinrich (PG), Jimmy Butler (SG), Mike Dunleavy (SF), Carlos Boozer (PF), Joakim Noah (C)

BKN- Deron Williams (PG), Shaun Livingston (SG), Joe Johnson (SF), Paul Pierce (PF), Mason Plumlee (C)

Final Thoughts

Kevin Garnett, continuing his neverending carousel of missed games, is out tonight with back spasms that caused him to miss Saturday's win over the Bucks. Mason Plumlee, for the second straight game, will start for KG, who isn't really that hurt, but is mainly sitting out for precautionary reasons. No need to over-exert him at his age, but the Nets could really use his presence and size down low against Joakim Noah and the rest of the Bulls' frontcourt players.
