The Nets always have trouble with big centers. The Grizzlies' Marc Gasol is certainly a big center. |

Fun fact: The Brooklyn Nets, with all their big expectations before this season started, have yet to be over .500 in the 2013-14 campaign. Tonight, though, against the Memphis Grizzlies they have a chance to make that fact a falsity as long as they can extend their current winning streak to four games. Brooklyn is coming off a Monday home drubbing of the Chicago Bulls that was the Nets' first win against the team from Windy City since early May in the playoffs while the Grizzlies beat the Wizards two nights again in the opening game of a three-game road trip for them.
Both Brooklyn and Memphis will be missing starting big men in one as Kevin Garnett (back spasms) is sitting out a 3rd straight game and Zach Randolph, who missed these teams' meeting (a Nets win) on November 30th as well, is out with a particularly bad case of the flu. The Grizzlies, under rookie coach Dave Joerger, still have Mike Conley and Marc Gasol to lead them, a point guard-center tandem that is among the league's best.
Probable Lineups
MEM- Mike Conley (PG), Courtney Lee (SG), Tayshaun Prince (SF), Ed Davis (PF), Marc Gasol (C)
BKN- Deron Williams (PG), Shaun Livingston (SG), Joe Johnson (SF), Paul Pierce (PF), Mason Plumlee (C)
Final Thoughts
Will the Nets be able to keep the good times rolling long enough to push them over .500? The Grizzlies are good, no doubt, but are a team Brooklyn can certainly beat, especially at home.
