A lot has changed since the Brooklyn Nets last played the Phoenix Suns, a meeting that took place back in November at US Airways Center and resulted in a Brooklyn win after a buzzer-beating Joe Johnson floater in overtime.

The upstart Suns, led by rookie coach sensation Jeff Hornacek, are 10 games over .500 and are knocking on the door of the extremely close Western Conference playoff race, needing a 3rd-straight overall win tonight in Brooklyn to better their chances. They also have point guard Eric Bledsoe back from injury, and with him in the starting lineup, the Suns are much more dangerous.

Meanwhile, the Nets–who improved to just 3-5 early in the year–head into this game needing a win after blowing a late lead to the Wizards on Saturday night and losing a late decision. There are a bunch of interesting matchups and storylines for this game as the Brothers Plumlee (Mason and Miles) face off while Goran Dragic and Deron Williams go up against each other in a pairing of two of the NBA's better floor generals.

Probable Lineups

PHO- Eric Bledsoe (PG), Goran Dragic (SG), P.J. Tucker (SF), Channing Frye (PF), Miles Plumlee (C)

BKN- Deron Williams (PG), Shaun Livingston (SG), Joe Johnson (SF), Paul Pierce (PF), Mason Plumlee (C)

Final Thoughts

Kevin Garnett is out yet again, for the 9th straight game due to back spasms. At this point, and as I wrote yesterday, he might not be back for awhile.
