Game 66: White Sox 5 Pirates 4

As deflating losses go, that one ranks pretty high. Nice comeback late in the game that ends with a Pedro Alvarez whiff … that’s rough. Matt Thornton is the exact sort of pitcher Pedro’s going to struggle with right now (hard throwing lefty that’s tough on lefties), but whew, I had my hopes up for a dramatic first career hit tonight. His approach at the plate is good, though. He’s not taking many bad swings, he’s working counts, and he’s hit a couple balls hard but at people. But still, rough night at the plate, rough way to end the game.

Honestly? I got other stuff on my mind, dealing with the contract extension news that we got today, about this team tonight. But 11 losses in a row really sucks.
