Game 68 Preview: Brooklyn Nets (39-28) at Dallas Mavericks (32-35)
Ugh, I really do miss when Vince Carter was on the Nets. Now he's facing his former team as a member of the Dallas Mavericks, who are the Nets' 2nd-opponent on their eight-game circus road trip

When: 8:00 pm; Wednesday, March 20th, 2013

Where: American Airlines Center; Dallas, TX

TV: YES Network/ESPN

The Nets soldier on through their ridiculously long circus road trip this evening down in Texas as they take on the Dallas Mavericks, a team with a very familiar face to many Nets fans. Vince Carter, who was a mainstay of the New Jersey Nets roster in the mid-to-late 2000s, is on Dallas and scored 20 points off the bench in the last meeting between these two teams, a win for the Mavericks at Barclays Center on March 1st. That defeat kickstarted a six-game stretch for the Mavs in which they won five of six, and inched their record that much closer to the elusive .500 mark.

Both teams playing tonight are coming off big wins on Monday night, with the Nets' coming via a blowout over the lowly Pistons and the Mavs' coming in a high-scoring decision over the Hawks, a win that helped out the Nets ever so slightly in the Eastern Conference. Darren Collison and Dirk Nowitzki led the way for Dallas in that game, scoring 24 and 22 points respectively as the whole team scored a stunning 127 points in a non-overtime game, carried out by scoring at least 29 in all four quarters. The Nets had their own big game, scoring 119 points compared to just 82 from Detroit, two totals which helped to culminate in a complete beat-down levied by Brooklyn.

Probable Lineups

BKN- Williams (PG), Johnson (SG), Wallace (SF), Evans (PF), Lopez (C)

DAL- Mike James (PG), Mayo (SG), Crowder (SF), Nowitzki (PF), Kaman (C)

Final Thoughts

What better way to avenge that brutal loss to Dallas to kick off March than by winning tonight? Answer: None, only way is to win this game and keep pace in the Eastern Conference and Atlantic Division standings.
