Game 69 Preview: Brooklyn Nets (37-31) at New Orleans Pelicans (29-40)
Anthony Davis is coming off a 30-point, 11-rebound performance on Saturday night in a win against the Heat. Yeah, he'll probably cause some problems for the Nets.

When: 8:00 PM EST; Monday, March 24th, 2014

Where: Smoothie King Center (seriously); New Orleans, LA

TV: YES Network

Anthony Davis is averaging 21.7 points and 10.4 rebounds per game this season and has put up at least 28 points in each of the last eight games he has played in. He also, as mentioned above, destroyed the Heat a few nights ago en route to a huge Pelicans' win. Yeah, he's probably the best frontcourt player in the NBA right now and will be for the near future.

Unfortunately for the Pelicans, though, basketball is a team sport, and much of Monty Williams' team is injured, as former Net Ryan Anderson (herniated disc), Jrue Holiday (leg), and Eric Gordon (knee) are all currently injured, with Anderson and Holiday out for the year. That's three pretty good starters out of the lineup for a Pelicans squad that is already out of playoff contention in the tough West.

Probable Lineups

BKN- Deron Williams (PG), Shaun Livingston (SG), Joe Johnson (SF), Paul Pierce (PF), Mason Plumlee (C)

NOP- Brian Roberts (PG), Tyreke Evans (SG), Al-Farouq Aminu (SF), Anthony Davis (PF), Greg Stiemsma (C)

Final Thoughts

Kevin Garnett is out for the 13th consecutive game with back spasms as the Nets attempt to win their fifth straight game (and eighth in nine overall) and sweep the season series from New Orleans tonight when the Big Apple meets the Big Easy.
