Game 70 Preview: Brooklyn Nets (37-32) at Charlotte Bobcats (34-37)
Marcus Thornton left Monday's loss in New Orleans early with a bruised back, which was a big reason why the Nets weren't able to hold their 22-point second half lead. For the Nets' sake, hopefully he returns to action tonight.

When: 7:00 PM EST; Wednesday, March 26th, 2014

Where: Time Warner Cable Arena; Charlotte, NC

TV: YES Network

The Nets blew a 22-point second half on Monday night in New Orleans to the Pelicans, resulting in a terrible loss they would like to forget as soon as possible. Good thing is that they have a chance to do that tonight in Charlotte against the Bobcats, even though Brooklyn will be without Kevin Garnett (back) and Andrei Kirilenko (ankle) again. Marcus Thornton, who hurt his back on Monday, won't play either. Deron Williams was a gametime decision with an illness but is in the lineup and will play.

These two teams faced off a week ago in Brooklyn in a game the Nets won by a much smaller margin, 104-99, than the actual play would indicate. Deron played amazing that night, scoring 25 points and compiling eight assists to pace Jason Kidd's team in the win over a surprising playoff team in the Bobcats.

Probable Lineups

BKN- Deron Williams (PG), Shaun Livingston (SG), Joe Johnson (SF), Paul Pierce (PF), Mason Plumlee (C)

CHA- Kemba Walker (PG), Gerald Henderson (SG), Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (SF), Josh McRoberts (PF), Al Jefferson (C)

Final Thoughts

Gary Neal, a February trade deadline pickup of Charlotte, is out with knee and ankle issues, meaning the Bobcats will be without one of their key bench scorers. Just another reason as to why the Nets need to win this game to prevent an unexpected losing streak.
