Fresh off a swept back-to-back with wins over the Pistons and 76ers, the Nets are in the Sunshine State for yet another back-to-back, this time in Miami against the Heat and Orlando against the Magic.

The Nets are already 3-0 against the two-time defending champs on the season, and are looking to become the only team undefeated against Miami this year and the only team to sweep a 4-0 season series from the Heat since the 2007-08 campaign.

All of that stuff is good, but the fact that with six games left to play, the Nets are still 2.5 games behind both No. 3 Toronto and No. 4 Chicago means that they probably will remain as the East’s No. 5 seed for the playoffs. That’s not terrible, but Brooklyn would certainly rather have homecourt advantage in the postseason, even if it’s just for one round.

Probable Lineups

BKN- Deron Williams (PG), Shaun Livingston (SG), Joe Johnson (SF), Paul Pierce (PF), Mason Plumlee (C)

MIA- Toney Douglas (PG), Mario Chalmers (SG), LeBron James (SF), Udonis Haslem (PF), Chris Bosh (C)

Final Thoughts

After playing for the first time in over a month on Saturday in Philadelphia., Kevin Garnett (back spasms) is out tonight as Jason Kidd has him resting. However, KG will play tomorrow night in Orlando when the Nets play the Magic.
