What to watch

1. Can the McRookies hit their shots?

Ray McCallum and Ben McLemore had a tough day from the field against the Dallas Mavericks.  The Kings rookie tandem were a combined 6-of-23 shooting in the narrow loss to the Mavs.  Russell Westbrook will be a handful for both first year players on defense.  However, the Kings will need McCallum and McLemore to find their rhythm in order to have a chance against the playoff-bound Thunder.

2. Points off turnovers

The turnover differential wasn’t major between the Kings and Mavericks, but the points off turnovers were.  The Kings committed just 13 turnovers while the Mavs committed 10, however Dallas scored 21 points off turnovers while Sacramento scored just 13.  Against an uptempo team like the Thunder, the Kings will need to do a better job limiting their opposition’s points off their mistakes.

3. Will Kevin Durant’s 25-points-or-more scoring streak come to an end?

Chances are, no.  The Thunder superstar has been unguardable this season and he’s more than likely on the way to his first regular season MVP award of his career.  Durant has scored 25 points or more in 41-straight games, which tops a previous modern-day record set by Michael Jordan during the 1986-87 season.  The 25-year-old wing is also on pace to be the fourth player in NBA history to average at least 32 points, seven rebounds and five assists in a single season.
