Three things to ponder

1. Desperate times

Since losing Kevin Durant (foot) for the season on February 19, the Thunder have gone 13-11 and lost six of their last seven. They’re currently on the outside looking in for the playoff eighth seed, and a game at home versus the Kings is a must-win.

2. 3-point threats

Even without Durant, the Thunder are effectively bombing away from downtown at a 37 percent clip. The backcourt of Russell Westbrook, Dion Waiters, D.J. Augustin and Anthony Morrow hoists up 15.2 3-pointers per game, so the perimeter requires attention.

3. Vulnerability inside

Frontline starters DeMarcus Cousins (foot) and Serge Ibaka (knee) will sit out for the Kings and Thunder respectively, thinning out both interior defenses. Sacramento should focus its crosshairs on the paint and particularly look to attack turnstile defender Enes Kaster.
