Three questions to ponder
1. Will the Spurs rest some of their players?
With the playoffs quickly approaching, the Spurs have bigger fish to fry than the Kings. If there was ever a game for San Antonio to rest its players before the postseason, this would be it. Tony Parker seems like a prime candidate. He’s listed as day-to-day with a sore neck and did not play against the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday. He’s also still recovering from the ankle sprain he suffered against the Kings last month.
2. Will Patrick Patterson play?
Patterson has missed the last two games with a sore back. The third-year power forward has been a model citizen since arriving to Sacramento via trade in February. Per 36 minutes, Patterson is averaging roughly 13 points and eight rebounds for the Kings.
3. Will Tyreke Evans snap out of his two-game slump?
Evans has not scored particularly well for the Kings recently. The Kings starting shooting guard has averaged just 6.5 points over his previous two outings. Before that, he scored 23 points in three contests prior. Sacramento may be facing an undermanned Spurs team, so they may not need Evans’ scoring output. But it sure wouldn’t hurt.
