Same story, hopefully different ending. The Nets are still winless on the road as they face off with the Phoenix Suns tonight, a team that hasn't lost a home game yet this season and is a surprising 5-3. Brooklyn is riding a three-game overall losing streak and four-game road losing streak, and still doesn't have Andrei Kirilenko available, as his back spasms problem kept him from making the West Coast trip with his team.

After a massive 107-86 blowout loss at the hands of the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night, many Nets players made comments regarding the team's play and how it was unacceptable and would change. Only how this evening's contest goes will determine whether or not those quotes were said in earnest, or just as back-page filler.

Probable Lineups

BKN- Deron Williams (PG), Joe Johnson (SG), Paul Pierce (SF), Kevin Garnett (PF), Brook Lopez (C)

PHO- Eric Bledsoe (PG), Goran Dragic (SG), P.J. Tucker (SF), Channing Frye (PF), Miles Plumlee (C)

Final Thoughts

The Suns have played very well in their eight games, to the surprise of many who doubted head coach Jeff Hornacek's squad. Eric Bledsoe has been amazing since coming over from the Clippers, twins Markieff and Marcus Morris are filling up box scores, and even current Net Mason Plumlee's brother Miles has come into his own as a NBA player, averaging nearly a double-double. Phoenix may not be a title contender, but the Suns are a pretty good team, and one that has significant depth across the board. Will the Nets be able to match the intensity and effort from their scrappy opponent?
