With 20 points and nine rebounds, Brook Lopez had another big game against a good center (Greg Monroe). Too bad the Nets' win over the Pistons was completely meaningless |
Even in a game that bore absolutely no meaning on their playoff standing at all, the Brooklyn Nets finished off their 1st regular season in the Better Borough in the best way possible, a drubbing of the hapless Detroit Pistons. Eschewing the normal trend of already-clinched playoff teams of resting starters for the entire final regular season contest, each Nets starter played at least 21 minutes, which also allowed each bench player to get nine minutes of playing time or more.
Brook Lopez finished off his career year with yet another highly-productive game, scoring 20 points and grabbing nine rebounds in just 21 minutes.
Some other observations I had from the game: #ReggieEvansReboundWatch: 11. Played just 24 minutes, the exact amount P.J. said that the starters would go……Been a great season, a lot of fun with ups and downs. But now the Nets are finally back in the playoffs, and I can't wait to share that experience with you guys (you know, the four or five of you that are reading this). Hello Brooklyn and Hello Playoffs.
Looking Ahead
Looks like the Nets are going to play the Bulls on either Saturday or Sunday at the Barclays Center, as the game's exact date and time haven't been announced by the league yet.
