The Bruins haven’t played the Hurricanes since… yesterday. Yeah.
Yesterday the Bruins were busy putting up more touchdowns against the Hurricanes than the Pats against the Jets. Okay, slight exaggeration.
Seven goals. Chara had three of them. It was raining hats at the TD Garden.
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8Dm0c8Z2-o&w=480&h=385]Apparently some Carolina players were pissed the Bruins were still playing their balls off after going up by 7 goals. Waaaaaaaaaaah. If you don’t like it then stop them. This ain’t pee wee hockey. If some team puts up ten goals against the Bruins we’re not gonna get pissed at the other team for driving up the score, we’d get pissed at the Bruins for allowing ten goals. Shut up Carolina.
Pic not ours. Done by a Pensblog reader. We wish we had thought of it. Carolina sucks.
Ference is still injured. According to Julien, Ference could go if the team was desperate and needed him but they’re not right now so Ference is likely out.
Most of Carolina is out with bruised egos.
After the jump… Carolina perhaps looking for revenge, Justin Peters really, really sucks and Carolina is full of hicks…..
How terrible did Justin Peters look yesterday? I bet the Bruins could score 20 goals on Cam Ward tonight and Carolina still wouldn’t put Peters in after his awful, terrible, sad display yesterday. His best “highlight” was making love to Blake Wheeler’s leg.
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQdv4Ynnuv0&w=480&h=385]Rumor has it that some Carolina players are looking for revenge. Maybe they’ll only go after Bruins players that are just coming back from injury again. I’m sure McQuaid and Thornton would love to have a few words with a few Carolina players.
Today should be very interesting. Carolina was embarrassed up and down the ice. They got a bit testy at the end of the game, and Thornton tried to go after Ruutu when he fired a shot at Thomas at the buzzer. Perhaps Thornton will try to have another chat with him today.
We’re not expecting seven goals again, but hopefully the Bruins machine will continue to roll and doesn’t give into any Carolina cheapshots. Just keep rolling boys. No complacency, just wins!
Projected Roster:
Michael Ryder-Marc Savard-Nathan Horton
Brad Marchand-Patrice Bergeron-Mark Recchi
Milan Lucic-David Krejci-Tyler Seguin
Blake Wheeler-Gregory Campbell-Shawn Thornton
Zdeno Chara-Steven Kampfer
Dennis Seidenberg-Johnny Boychuk
Mark Stuart-Adam McQuaid
Tim Thomas
Tuukka Rask
Starting Rask would seem to make sense in a back-to-back situation but who knows who’s starting with the B’s these days. All we know is it doesn’t matter ’cause Rask and Thomas will both mess you up. Remember when Thomas doubters said he was just on a hot streak to start the season? Yeah. He’s still in the Vezina conversation. Leading it, in fact. Suck it.
