Tuukka Rask will start (today) against Buffalo at HSBC Arena. Rask has been Tim Thomas’s backup for the last seven games.
“Did [Thomas] look a little bit tired? Maybe,” Claude Julien said of last night’s starter. “I still saw him making some big saves at crucial times. He played a decent game. When you look back at Timmy and the number of games he’s won for us this year, there’s no doubt about anything we did with him.” —Boston.com
We’re personally surprised this hasn’t happened already. Last two games we’ve expected Tuukka to start. Last time Tuukk played was Dec. 15th. against the Sabres.
It’s now January 1st.
Listen, we love Thomas here. He’s a big reason the Bruins are where the Bruins are in the standings, but the guy’s only human.
After the jump…. more on Tuukka… projected roster… game day links… and a parrot that sings “Bodies Hit the Floor”…
Last time the Sabres and Bruins went head-to-head we had little love for Miller & Co in our picture blog recap, shat all over Kaleta, and some Sabre fans took offense to our post about Chara taking Miller’s mom out to dinner.

Yeah, because a goalie getting territorial in his crease is something new in hockey. The fact that you made an entire post dedicated to this “scrum” with unfunny jokes and poor photoshop is pretty embarrassing.
The only thing whinier than a Sabres fan is…
written by rw19, December 17, 2010A Boston fan. A whole entire blog entry devoted to a little scrap at the end of a game? Go watch figure skating.
Those two comments are thick in irony, since it was Sabres fans betting all whiny about Chara at the end of the game and even calling for him to be suspended.
The tears flowing from Buffalo about Chara touching Miller’s arm was excruciating.
Video of the scrum to jog your memory.
