Game Day: Week 10, Game 9 Carolina at Tampa Bay-  The Bucs are in an unusual position for the first time in several years. They are favored to win, and supposed to win big. Carolina comes in with a true rookie QB, and are decimated by injuries. This will be a real test, as the Bucs so far have beaten the teams they are supposed to, and even beaten the teams they could. Not they need to beat a team they MUST. As with most teams, the Panthers lead the series with the Bucs 12-8, but the two teams have SPLIT the season series each of the last 5 years. Mind you that is probably because the teams were closer to each other than they are now. We swept Atlanta in 2007 when they were a down team, so the Bucs have done it. Carolina actually had a nice streak during the 2000’s of winning in Raymond James, going 6-3 against the Bucs in our House. Dick Stockton, Charles Davis and Jim Mora will do the Fox Broadcast, but if the links above are unsuccessful, we will all be listening to Gene Deckerhoff, as I am NOT going to this game because Im saving up for a nice ticket to the Falcon game, where the Bucs will wear Bucco Bruce Orange and induct John McKay in the Ring of Honor. Two players that always do well against the Panthers are Cadillac Williams and Ronde Barber. Its worth to note that Josh Freeman had his worst game vs Panthers last year, and rebounded with one of his best this year. But the other Josh, Johnson, was the QB last year when the Panthers came to town. Carolina and Tampa Bay were tied 7-7 when Carolina took the lead in the 2nd half and then took a 21-7 lead, but Sammy Stroughter returned the Kick Off for a TD, and Tanard Jackson returned a Delhomme pass for a TD, before the Panthers marched down the field on the Bucs almost at will against the Jim Bates led defense. Wanna see how over 15 people on the Bucs have something in common with the Panthers? or who has run for the most yardage vs Carolina?
