NIKO’S TAKE:
World War ll would be peaceful compared to the fallout Raheem Morris will have to face if the Bucs get blown out by the Titans in Tennessee, where the Bucs mind you have never won. 0-6 going back to the old Houston Oilers days of the franchise, Tampa Bay can do today like they did last year at San Francisco, especially since they’ve got their heads back into it.

Last week Tampa Bay responded to Coach Morris’ motivation techniques by playing their best game of the year to be honest. Even though the outcome wasn’t desirable, the effort finally was, and although we know that there is no moral victory, we also get the feeling if the opponent wasn’t the world champion Green Bay Coaches Bucs fans would have been a lot happier at 4PM.

Make no mistake, a lot of peoples jobs are on the line today, when Tennesee is faced by a Bucs team that is in all honesty not as good of a team as our Bucs are. At most of the key positions, the Bucs have the advantage.

QB                              Bucs
Running Back              Bucs slight
WR                             EVEN
OL                              Bucs Slight
Defensive Line             Even
LB                              Bucs slight
Secondary                  even
Special Teams             Bucs, Large

It is now week 11 for the Bucs, and its way overdue to score in the first  Quarter. The Bucs know they need to go 5-1 or undefeated the rest of the way if they want to make the playoffs, and they will have to go 4-2 to finish with a break even record (8-8) on the year. If they cant get it started against this Tennessee team. Barrett Ruud will not play this week.
Prediction- Tampa Bay 24 Tennessee 17

All-Time Series

This will be only the fourth time the Buccaneers have played the Titans, per se, but they do have a bit of history with this franchise once known as the Houston Oilers. In 1976, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers franchise debuted with its first regular season game at Houston, losing 20-0 to begin an 0-14 season. The Bucs and Oilers met five more times after that initial meeting, including once in 1998 after the team had moved to Tennessee but before it surrendered the ‘Oilers’ nickname, and Tampa Bay lost four of those con- tests. The Bucs’ lone win came in 1983, when QB Jack Thompson led Tampa Bay to a 33-24 dismissal of the visiting Oilers. Along with 1983 and 2007, the only other game played in Tampa was that aforementioned ’98 tilt, a close game that Tennessee broke out into a 31-22 final with a late, long touchdown run by QB Steve McNair. The Titans hold a 2-1 overall series advantage over the Buccaneers, with Tennessee winning in Tampa 31-28 in overtime on October 14, 2001 and in the 2003 season finale in Nashville, 33-13 (12/28/03) and the Buccaneers winning 13-10 on October 14, 2007.

SERIES HIGHLIGHTS-Despite 287 yards and three touchdowns from QB Brad Johnson and 140 yards on eight receptions from WR Keyshawn Johnson, the Buccaneers fell 31- 28 in Tennessee (10/14/01)… The Buccaneers faced a 16-3 halftime deficit and ultimately fell 33-13, as QB’s Brad Johnson and Shaun King combined for four interceptions and a 46.1 passer rating (12/28/03)… WR Joey Galloway had four receptions for 97 yards and one touchdown, as the Buccaneers earned their first victory over the Tennessee Titans 13-10 (10/14/07).
