After a nightmare start to the regular season — including three double-digit losses to start the new campaign — the Brooklyn Nets head home to take on a team that is struggling just as badly as they are: the Milwaukee Bucks. Led by former Nets star, and coach, Jason Kidd, the young Bucks have started slow out of the gates partly thanks to poor shooting as well as injury woes.

Jabari Parker and Tyler Ennis are scheduled to return from injury on Wednesday for Milwaukee so they won’t be in the lineup tonight for Jason Kidd. Also, John Henson and O.J. Mayo are out, leaving the Bucks without key depth pieces off the bench. On the other side, the Nets are pretty healthy all around.

That makes this game about as close to a must-win for the Nets as a November game could possibly be. The team’s schedule this month is incredibly difficult and starting the season 0-7 or 0-8 would be nightmare situation. The Nets need to nip this losing skid in the bud, and an undermanned Milwaukee team is a good foe to do it against.

Probable lineups

MIL- Michael Carter-Williams (PG), Khris Middleton (SG), Giannis Antetokounmpo (SF), Johnny O’Bryant III (PF), Greg Monroe (C)

BKN- Jarrett Jack (PG), Markel Brown (SG), Joe Johnson (SF), Thaddeus Young (PF), Brook Lopez (C)

Final thoughts

The Nets had trouble with the Bucks’ length and athleticism last season, which should be a problem against in 2015-16, but noted Net-killer Zaza Pachulia is in Dallas now and multiple key Bucks are out due to injury. The Nets have an opening to get their first win of the year tonight and they need to take advantage.
