Now is not the time to panic. Now is the time for cooler heads to prevail. The Angels will eventually get this figured out and will return to their rightful place atop the AL. It all begins tonight. At least that is what my head is telling me. My esteemed colleague Garrett intoned earlier today that things will be alright and the rational side of me agrees. There is no way Albert Pujols continues to hit below his weight. It’s impossible that Erick Aybar will continue to swing at anything in the same area code as he is. Surely the bullpen will stabilize and leads will be held. Eventually, Ervin Santana will realize throwing the ball down the middle of the plate tends to lead to poor results. All these things will happen and it begins in Cleveland. Weaver will be awesome and the Halos will be agressive on the bases the way they used to be. Scioscia will make all the right moves for once this season and Mickey Hatcher will stop getting in the way of his hitters. I have faith and a positive mental approach (copywright CJ Wilson). After all what’s the alternative? I’d rather think this way then face the realization of a long summer of meaningless baseball…
