I would have never thought an Angels-Diamondbacks series could have so much intrigue. Last night brought us the Dan Haren vs. his old team dynamic (which did not go well by the way). Tonight the Diamondbacks’ Joe Saunders gets his turn against the team that traded him to the desert. If you recall at the time, the debate regarding the trade was whether giving up Saunders instead of Ervin Santana was a good idea. Well here we are almost a year later and we still cannot definitively say keeping Santana was the right choice. Santana has been a series of technical difficulties all year. First, his team can’t seem to score any runs for him and he loses five straight. Then he loses control of his fastball and starts getting lit up. There doesn’t appear to be anything wrong with him, other than his lack of confidence when he is on the mound.

There have also been technical difficulties for the Angel offense once again. It seems we are now back into a lull period for Halo runs scored. In particular, this team seems to really struggle against left handed pithcing. Which is great cause, you know, old Joe is a southpaw.

Finally, I will once again be unable to watch the game due to Dish Network’s technical difficulty of being jackholes. Hope the rest of you enjoy it action!!
