Matt Palmer did it last night, now it will be up to Shane Loux tonight.
Even though Loux has looked good in both of of his starts this season, he has now wins to his credit. The problem for Loux has been a lack of run support, with the Angels scoring only three runs total in both his appearances. However, if recent history is any indicator, that won’t be a problem tonight. The Angels just finished racking up the runs against a strong Detroit pitching staff. The Halo offense is, dare I say, on fire, having generated 10+ hits in each of the last three games. Should be interesting.
What to Watch For:
- The Brandon Wood Watch continues, I am starting to lose hope. If he doesn’t start against a lefty tonight, I don’t know when he’ll ever play.
- Will Torii Hunter play? Not sure how he is feeling after battling through a stomach bug last night.
- Can Shields get is straight tonight? Bulger and Speier should be unavailable, so if Scioscia needs to use Arrendondo early and the Angels lead, the temptation will be there.
As always, leave a comment and hang out with us to chat throughout the game.
