Ervin Santana is back.

John Lackey has returned as well.

But who needs them?  We got Matt Palmer.

Palmer = Ace

I’ve resisted jumping on the Matt Palmer bandwagon as along as I can, but the allure is just too much.  Through five starts this season he just keeps getting better and no team can figure him out.  Hell, if he keeps it up, I might just have to pick him up in my fantasy league.  Of course, now that I have said all this, I probably totally jinxed him and he will be knocked out of the game before the end of the third and out of the league again by the end of June.

Questions of the Night:

  • Will the nine-hole magic continue to work its mojo on Howie Kendrick’s attempt to resuscitate his season?
  • Not to beat a dead horse, but Scioscia used up Darren Oliver last night, so who will he turn to if he needs some middle relief?  Scot Shields suspiciously hasn’t pitched in four days and the skipper seems scares to use him.
