The South Carolina Gamecocks basketball team is a little more active of late, as noted Coach Darrin Horn extended a offer to guard Charles Mann and now three other names have emerged on the basketball recruiting radar. The Gamecocks are after Kareem Canty, Chris Bolden and now Juwan Staten.
Here’s a breakdown:
Bridgton (ME) point guard Kareem Canty was extended a scholarship offer within the last few days. He is in the top 15 for point guards in the nation and may prove tough to land. Here is a video:
Norcross (GA) G Chris Bolden has picked up a offer also from South Carolina. Bolden was a Miami Hurricane commit but backed away from that recently and is now exploring other schools. He is a top 30 shooting guard in the 2012 recruiting class. Another one that may be tough to land for Horn especially with Damien Leonard on the roster. Here is a video:
Former Dayton point guard Juwan Staten plans to take a visit to South Carolina. Staten led the Atlantic 10 in assists last season averaging 5.4 per game. He also averaged over 8 points and 2 rebounds per game. Staten had planned to transfer to Penn State but those plans changed when Ed Dacellis left there for Navy. Here is a video:
So out of Charles Mann, Kareem Canty, Chris Bolden and Juwan Staten – which guard do you like for Horn’s system? Which can USC land?
