Basketball at the University of South Carolina got a huge boost recently with the commitment of Sindarius Thornwell. He will elevate the program and he will fit in nicely with Coach Frank Martin’s scheme. Thornwell is a baller folks, get ready as he can help take USC to new heights.
The 6-foot-5, 195-pounder trimmed his list to two schools last week: South Carolina and North Carolina State. Glad he chose USC as he is the exact scoring punch USC is in need of. Last season, for Lancaster (SC) he averaged 28 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists per game. According to TheBigSpur.com, Thornwell is ranked No. 37 nationally and is the No. 8 shooting guard in the country.
Thornwell, a South Carolina native transferred to Oak Hill Academy (Va.) prior to this school year, is South Carolina’s second commitment in the 2013 class. He joins Desmond Ringer, who pledged to the Gamecocks last week.
Coach Martin is quickly putting together a nice program. Get excited folks as the culture of USC basketball is changing.
