Rivals.com has the South Carolina Gamecocks Football team in their “Pre-Spring Practice Top 25.” They have the ‘Cocks listed at number 13 and here is what they say about USC –
“The Gamecocks won the SEC East last season, their first title of any kind since 1969, and they are going to head into the 2011 season as the division favorite. In RB Marcus Lattimore and WR Alshon Jeffery, coach Steve Spurrier has two of the nation’s best offensive players. The quarterback spot bears watching, and defensive coordinator Ellis Johnson has some work to do with his secondary.”
Along with USC, they have Alabama at #2, Arkansas at #16, Florida at #23, UGa at #24 and MSU at #25. Another good showing for the mighty SEC crowd.
So USC is #13 and has a 50-to-1 shot to win the BCS….gotta love it when the beloved Gamecocks get some love.
