Sheldon Jeter will not be a member of the South Carolina Gamecocks basketball team as he chose to commit to Vanderbilt today.
Jeter, a 6-foot-7 forward, would have been a nice addition for USC but oh well as Coach Frank Martin has a solid class without him.
Jeter’s other three finalists were Penn State, Wisconsin and South Carolina. All offered scholarships and Jeter made official visits to all four schools.
As a senior, Jeter averaged 21.8 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocks a game. A three-year starter, he finished his career with 1,489 points.
At least we will get to see him on the court when the Dores face the Gamecocks.
