The South Carolina Gamecocks football team is preparing to take on the Wisconsin Badgers in the Capital One Bowl coming up and by now you should have read our first impressions of the team from the Big Ten. Now here are five key players to keep a eye on during the upcoming game and the players the USC football team needs to watch out for:
1. Joel Stave – He is the quaterback and has a decent arm. He is a little inconsistent but USC will still need to respect his ability to connect. Most times he is handing off to the stable of Badgers running backs.
2. Jared Abbrederis – He is Wisconsin's key wide out, The Gamecocks will need to respect him as he is a good route runner with big play abilities. USC needs to contain him at all times.
3. James White – This guy is a talented running back and the Gamecocks will see him a lot. He also has great hands and is relied upon in passing game.
4. Melvin Gordon – When you don't see White with the ball in his hands you are likely to this running back. Call it the Badgers "1 – 2 punch."
5. Chris Borland – He is the Big Ten Defensive Player of Year and is the heart and soul of Badgers defense. USC offensive must know where he lines up and do their best to block him.
