I will apologize a head of time, there should be no basketball talk in August but this is kind of big news for Gamecocks basketball fans.
ESPN announced today that USC will open the 2010-2011 basketball season at Michigan State. The Spartans were a final four team last year and should be a preseason top five team this year. This will be a tough test for the Gamecocks, look for Coach Horn to have his team ready. With the departure of Downey, will a young Gamecock team have any chance against a national powerhouse like Michigan State?
This will be part of ESPN’s 24 hours of basketball, as the Gamecocks and Spartans will tip off at 10 PM on November 16th. Read more here on ESPN.
