This video shows the shot that USC Gamecocks running back Marcus Lattimore took from Florida State’s Greg Reid. It was a clean hit but it ruined New Year’s Eve for so many Gamecock fans.
In the video below, you will see Lattimore catch a short pass from quarterback Stephen Garcia in an effort to pick up the first down, but got his bell rung and coughed up the ball. It was Lattimore’s first fumble and first lost fumble as a Gamecock. He did not return after this hit and had to visit the hospital with a mouth injury and concussion. Good news is he left the hospital and surely has a slight hangover from the shot like some Gamecock fans (but for other reasons).
Hate to bring it up again as it hurts me to not only watch this but still hurts how USC lost the game to FSU….
