ENTERPRISE CENTER – ST. LOUIS, MO
8:00 PM EST. AT&T SPORTSNET
We will start today with a special hello to all of our angsty Steeler brethren that are just now checking in on the Pens as they craft thoughtfully worded signs demanding Mike Tomlin be sent to some sort of gulag.
Ya’ll have picked a great time to drop in though. The Pens continued their best run of play this season beating the Wings 5-2 Thursday night. That made it 4 W’s in a row and 7 of the last 9.
There’s plenty to feel good about for Pens fans right now but the best thing to feel good about is Matt Murray. Since returning from injury on December 12th, Murr is 4-0 with a .957 save% and a shutout. This team was always going to go as far as it’s goaltending would allow, and right now it’s elite.

Pens will largely be unchanged unless…
We've got a packed house for #Pens practice at UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex. Everyone is here, including Jamie Oleksiak, who has switched to a full-contact jersey. -MC

Sounds like Oleksiak also took morning skate so that’s cool.
Big news out of St. Louis today…
Alex Pietrangelo is back in the lineup tonight after missing 11 games with a hand injury. https://t.co/bwm7V1coa7 #stlblues

Blues:
Schwartz – Schenn – Tarasenko
Steen – O’Reilly – Perron
Maroon – Bozak – Thomas
Nolan – Barbashev – Sundqvist
Bouwmeester – Pietrangelo
Edmundson – Parayko
Dunn – Bortuzzo
Allen
St. Louis sits 7 points out of a playoff spot in the west, but they’ve won 2 in a row and get Pietrangelo back tonight. Never an easy place to play because no one wants to go to Missouri for any reason. It is very much a place I forget exists until I see it in a western or something.
