Does he have another monster game in him?
Garcon caught 11 passes for 151 yards and a touchdown when the Colts beat the Jets 30-17 in the AFC Championship Game last January. Garcon’s performance was a prime reason for the Jets’ decision to acquire Cromartie in an offseason trade with the San Diego Chargers.
New York’s frequent blitzes require corners who can play man-to-man coverage, and Cromartie is a Pro Bowl quality cover man. Still, Garcon can’t wait.
“That’s what you play for, man-to-man,” said Garcon, who has caught 67 passes for 784 yards and six touchdowns this season despite missing two games with a hamstring injury. “It’s just you against him and nobody else, not zone, not too much safety help. You always look forward to man-to-man.”
