The Kings’ future in Sacramento remains uncertain. What might that mean for the G-Man, who’s entering his 28th season as the radio voice of the Kings?
Well, nobody has the answers to what the future holds. Do I want to be in this position for as long as I absolutely can? You better believe it. And I don’t say this with a great deal of ego, because I don’t think I’m a big ego person at all. But I sincerely believe that I can still do the job and I can do it very, very well. And I take a lot of pride in that. And I take pride in the preparation just as I take pride in the fact that I have the opportunity. The opportunity is amazing. As long as I have my health and I’m blessed at this point or at this very moment to have good health – and that could change in ten minutes, who knows? But I just enjoy what I do, I have a passion for what I do. I hope I can continue to do it.
