I had typed up a really long and, frankly, really awesome analysis of the Pacers' 118-113 OT win over the Blazers tonight, but just as I was about to post something happened and I lost everything. I am in no mood to write it again. I'm devastated, but on a brighter note, at least the Pacers won to extend their record to 39-10 and give them a 3.5 game lead over the Heat in the East and a half-game lead over OKC in the West (I'm thinking ahead to the Finals, you see).
Final bullets:
- Lance Stephenson, who missed tonight's game, is listed as day-to-day with a sore back and could be back against the Magic on Sunday.
- Andrew Bynum was on the bench tonight in a suit and already participated in a shootaround with the team, but it will likely take him a few weeks before he plays in his first game for the Pacers.
- I'm not high on Paul George participating in the dunk comp this year. He has struggled badly as of late and needs the time off to rest and refocus for the second half of the season.
- Roy Hibbert's offense has disappeared. He hasn't scored in double-figures in 3 straight games. At least his rim-protecting defense is still the best in the league, but to be honest I can't wait to see Bynum gets some shots up.
