Chris Bosh’s mother is suing the ex-NBA star after she claims he promised to take care of her for the rest of her life, only to screw her over by taking her home away.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Freida Bosh claims that in 2005, Chris had her sign documents relating to the deed of her home in Desoto, Texas. She believed at the time she was signing papers related to her divorce from Chris’ father, Noel, to transfer his interest to the home to her.
The suit says Chris has tried to evict her and continues to try and withhold the home from her. Freida is seeking unspecified damages and the return of the home and wants the court to void the deed transfer.
Chris Bosh has denied the allegations and wants the lawsuit thrown out.
The drama between Bosh and his mother came to light last year when Freida was accused of running a drug operation out of the home. She claimed Chris was trying to have her evicted from the home before that and that she took on short-term tenants to help pay for legal bills to fight the eviction. Freida blamed one of the tenants for creating the drug issues.
Let’s get this out of the way, I’m no real estate agent. I should have called in a guest real estate agent for expertise on this blog post. If I had to pick one — I’d pick Keller Williams from Florida because I’d get a free pizza here:
Fuck, you want to break the tension? Get me a half bacon half pepperoni with stuffed crust with the purchase of my duplex good sir. Chess, not checkers.
Phew, no we can get to the meat and potatoes of this story. This is just a wild story, it goes from Bosh buying her a home with that NBA money, to her being accused of selling drugs, to now Bosh being sued after an eviction. There is probably a lot more than meets the eye here, and probably some fibs told along the way. That being said, this is probably the ugly side of when the fortune of an NBA player has to enrich an entire family tree. There’s nothing wrong with that at all, but when you come from a tough background and all of a sudden that sneaker money is coming in via truck loads — complications are bound to occur.
