George Michaels reported that news stories of a traffic accident involving Redskins head coach Joe Gibbs was a hoax.
The story broke on Sirius XM radio Tuesday evening when an “eyewitness” called in to say that Gibbs was involved in an accident and was in and out of consciousness as he was carried away for hospitalization. Micheals reported on his 11:00 PM news slot on WRC-TV that he verified that coach Gibbs was in fact at Redskins Park preparing the gameplan for the New Orleans Saints game and was not involved in an accident.
