After missing a game after blocking a shot off his foot/leg in practice, Ryan Reaves returned in a big way against the Nashville Predators. He earned a 10-minute misconduct after trying to stand up for Vladimir Tarasenko following a high hit (still not sure what warranted 10 minutes, but I digress) and he dished out plenty of big hits.
Here’s a great look at Reaves’ huge hit on Seth Jones. The broadcast did a great job of capturing this one. Also notice Steve Ott tripping over himself.
Remarkably, this wasn’t named the Check of the Game. That honor went to Nashville’s net.
