Ginobili says London could serve as his farewell tour with national team

This Summer’s Olympic Games in London could be San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili’s last Ginobili says London could serve as his farewell tour
with national teamappearance with the Argentine National Team.

Manu has suffered injuries several times in national team play and at the ripe playing age of 35, Ginobili spoke over Twitcam yesterday from his home in Bahia Blanca saying the injuries have cost him.

“I do not know if London will be my farewell to the national team. There are great chances to be my last tournament because I have 35 years and each time it costs me more.”

Ginobili certainly did not confirm this was the end for him, although it is widely considered to be the last time the “Golden Generation” will be playing together.

While he said he needs time to prepare for the Olympics, Ginobili said he is in better shape now than he has been in past Olympic games. However, let’s face it, aside from Team USA and Spain, every other team in the field will be battling for Bronze. Including team France with Tony Parker, Nando De Colo and Boris Diaw.

But how great will it be to see Manu and TP face off in a medal game.
