Glory Lightweight Championship: Davit Kiria (c) (23-8) vs. Robin Van Roosmalen (43-14-3)
Luke Irwin: There’s no logical reason for me to pick Kiria here. RVR has beaten him twice already and was surgical in both. I have no reason to pick Kiria, but that fight against Andy Ristie showed me a ton. I saw something in Kiria there. Call it fighting spirit, call it bushido, whatever it is, but he battled like a man who wanted that belt badly and I don’t see him going down without a fight. Kiria via UD.
Nolan Howell: Robin Van Roosmalen via UD.
Middleweight Bout: Jason Wilnis (22-4-1) vs. Wayne Barrett (5-1)
Luke Irwin: Wilnis is a solid technical fighter, but I think he’s being brought in as cannon fodder for Barrett. Barrett via R2 KO.
Nolan Howell: Wayne Barrett by first-round TKO.
Light Heavyweight Tournament Semifinal: Brian Collette (21-2) vs. Zack Mwekassa (11-1)
Luke Irwin: Many people were surprised when Mwekassa took down Pat Barry, but that was a bad fight for Pat. Zack isn’t a can, and was an accomplished boxer before he hit the kickboxing ranks. Brian Collette is much better technically than Barry, but I think Mwekassa has the chops to hang in with Collette and deliver some damage. Mwekassa via Decision.
Nolan Howell: Mwekassa by second-round TKO.
Light Heavyweight Tournament Semifinal: Danyo Ilunga (29-3) vs. Saulo Cavalari (28-3)
Luke Irwin: Ilunga is the second-best light heavyweight in the world (depending on whether or not Saki is staying at LHW) and although he probably would have lost, he got a raw deal against Tyrone Spong in the tournament finals. He takes this is an absolute walk. Ilunga via R1 TKO.
Nolan Howell: Ilunga by unanimous decision.
Light Heavyweight Tournament Winner:
Luke Irwin: Danyo Ilunga
Nolan Howell: Danyo Ilunga
