Thursday night, the Boston Celtics looked forward to closing out the Eastern Conference Finals Series by winning this game at home. Little did they know they were faced with a problem from Miami Heat forward LeBron James. LeBron James, scored 45 points along with 15 rebounds and 5 assists. The Celtics tried their best to defend him, but most of the time James found a way to connect. LeBron James sidekick, Dwayne Wade helped the Heat win by dropping 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists.
The Celtics fell short in this game as none of their shots seem to drop in the basket. However, Rajon Rondo finished with a double-double, 21 points and 10 assists. Both Kevin Garnett and Brandon Bass finished with 12 points. The Truth found himself in early foul trouble, which led him to only nine points and going 0-6 from the three point line. The Celtics struggled from behind the three point line by going 1-14 which was made by Ray Allen. It was hard for them to click on all cylinders this game.
The final score was a heart-breaker for myself and other Celtics fans as they lost 98-79 at home.
The Boston Celtics has been the only team in the playoffs to take Miami to a Game 7. Be sure to watch tonight, Celtics at Heat on ESPN at 8:30pm.
