The Warriors will be looking for their sixth straight win today as they take on the Magic who will be looking for their third straight win. If the Warriors can win tonight it will be their longest winning streak in six years (they haven’t had a winning streak of over five games in six years). Surprisingly, Stephen Curry has never beaten the Magic in his career; he’ll look to change that today.
The Warriors should watch out because Nikola Vucevic can be deadly with put-backs and offensive rebounds. Also, they have to be aware of Victor Oladipo who has played phenomenal of late for the Magic. The Warriors record is 12-2 when Curry records 10 or more assists, but their record when he scores more then 30 points is 2-5. The Magic will look to avoid an eight game skid against the Western Conference. The Warriors are 4-1 against the Eastern Conference this year.
“The Warriors didn’t fire up the defensive intensity until they fell behind by 17 points against the Cavaliers on Sunday. “We’ve got to hopefully come out with a better start in Orlando and not have to rely on a huge comeback,” guard Stephen Curry said. Jackson has often pointed out that the Warriors’ defensive style makes them a team that should play just as well on the road as at home. That said, it had to be disconcerting to see his team struggle on that end of the court for a half against a below-average Cavaliers team.”
