The following is a summary of the Golden State Warriors‘ roster plus first three opponents for 2014 NBA Summer League, which starts today in Las Vegas, Nevada.

WARRIORS

New head coach Steve Kerr will coach the summer league team, which will be headlined by NBA-tested Nemanja Nedovic, Ognjen Kuzmic, and Orlando Johnson.

Festus Ezeli will not play due to shin inflammation.

The team includes three players from the Warriors’ D-League affiliate in Santa Cruz: Kiwi Gardner, Lance Goulbourne, and 6’6″ shooting guard Justin Holiday. Holiday was acquired by Santa Cruz from the Idaho Stampede. He also played 9 games for the NBA Philadelphia 76ers in 2012-13.

Head coach of the Santa Cruz Warriors, Casey Hill, was also named to Kerr’s staff.

“There are a lot of guys on our roster who have a ton of potential to excel in the organization,” Hill told LetsGoWarriors.com in a phone interview earlier this week, “Johnson has NBA experience. I’ve coached him before and he’s very fun to watch. I look forward to getting to know him. Justin Holiday, who is also on our roster, spent time in the D-League and will be good fit for the NBA. It would be great to see him go through his experience with the Warriors. I haven’t checked out any of the other rosters. I want to stay focused on our guys and get ready to coach them.”

Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle provided a comprehensive roster of Golden State’s summer league team.

HORNETS

Later today at 5:30PM local time in Las Vegas, the Warriors will face the Charlotte Hornets. The Hornets had three draft picks this summer: 9th pick power forward Noah Vonleh from Indiana University, 26th pick P.J. Hairston and 55th pick Semaj Christon who were acquired in a trade with the Miami Heat for Shabazz Napier, and lastly 45th pick Dwight Powell, a power forward from Stanford University.

2nd-year player Cody Zeller will also be on the Hornets’ summer league roster, which is coached by Patrick Ewing.

SUNS

On July 12th, the Warriors face the Phoenix Suns.

Tyler Ennis, T.J. Warren, Miles Plumlee, Alex Len, and Seth Curry, among others, will play under coach Mike Longabardi, who is an assistant coach with the NBA Suns.

The Warriors beat the Suns last summer in the inaugural Summer League Tournament Championship.

LAKERS

The Warriors last opponent prior to the playoff tournament bracket will be the Los Angeles Lakers on July 14th. That means the Warriors will be idle on Sunday, July 13th.

The Lakers had one draft pick and one trade, 7th pick Julius Randle, power forward from the University of Kentucky, and one trade from the second round, acquiring 46th pick Jordan Clarkson, a guard from the University of Missouri.

Along with Randle and Clarkson, the Lakers have Kendall Marshall, Rodrigue Beaubois, Kevin Murphy, and Jerome Jordan, among others, on their 2014 summer league roster. Since the Lakers have no head coach in place, they will have Mark Madsen and Larry Lewis coaching them while in Las Vegas.
