It’s known as golf’s 5th major tournament and with a world class field and this run by the PGA Tour at the PGA Tour’s headquarters, you can see why this is very important to the Tour and its players. As Golf Channel doesn’t not have one of the four major tournaments, this in essence becomes a major for the network.
Not only is Golf Channel carrying the first two rounds of the Players, it also has plenty of wraparound programming including live press conferences and studio shows. Here’s the plan:
