Mayor Kevin Johnson is going back east to visit NBA headquarters. But this time, in much happier circumstances.
The Maloofs invited the mayor to represent the Kings at next week’s draft lottery in Secaucaus, New Jersey. During yesterday evening’s #HereWeRally event, Joe Maloof announced the invite.
“On behalf of the Maloof family, the NBA and the best fans in Sacramento, we want you to represent us at the lottery,” he said.
The Kings stand behind the Timberwolves, Cavaliers, Raptors and Wizards with a 7.6 percent chance of winning the league’s top overall pick.
