February has flown by fast already for the Brooklyn Nets and the entire NBA, as the league is quickly moving past the 2015-16 NBA All-Star break with the second half arriving on Thursday. Brooklyn hits the hardwood again one day later on Friday and before you know it, the Nets will be out of February and into March.
With the playoffs not a realistic option this year, the Nets will set their sights on returning serious value via Brooklyn Nets tickets, while giving die-hard Nets fans precious few games to take in live before the season is up. Fans can do that easily and cheaply, though, with Nets tickets averaging out at just $147.62 the rest of the way. Let’s break down the value and what Brooklyn fans could jump on the rest of this month:
2/19/2016 – Brooklyn Nets vs. New York Knicks at Barclays Center | Avg: $418.62 | Get-in: $92
The only reason Nets tickets are almost $150 on average the rest of the way is because this “battle of New York” meeting with Carmelo Anthony and the Knicks. This is a massive home game between two teams that don’t like each other, while fans can also take advantage of some serious star power via Melo and Kristaps Porzingis.
This is certainly an expensive game, but fans can save big if they take advantage of the 24 Hour Fitness ticket giveaway, which awards a six-month membership and $500 in free ticket credit via TiqIQ.com. This sweet deal can help you get back on track physically and mentally for the new year, as well as cut this gaudy price tag down considerably.
2/21/2016 – Brooklyn Nets vs. Charlotte Hornets at Barclays Center | Avg: $108.12 | Get-in: $9
Nets fans could just stretch their ticket credit out over several games, with this February 21st battle at home against the Hornets being a good one to consider. It’s Brooklyn’s last home game of the month, which could be a nice send-off for February, while it’s your last chance to take in Brook Lopez and co. live until March arrives. Anyone looking for their Nets fix will want to be all over this one, ticket giveaway or not, as Kemba Walker enters Barclays Center and fans can hit the cheap seats for as low as $9.
2/23/2016 – Brooklyn Nets @ Portland Trail Blazers at Moda Center at the Rose Quarter | Avg: $76.38 | Get-in: $11
The value is much more obvious on the road this month, especially in this duel with the Blazers, where fans get to see the Nets take on Damian Lillard and the Blazers live at the Moda Center. Tickets are very affordable at just under $77 on average, while premium seating will be looking rather tempting in the lower levels. Portland has been coming on strong in their bid for a Western Conference playoff spot, but Brook Lopez is a lot to handle down low. If Lopez brings his A game, the Nets could threaten the upset.
2/25/2016 – Brooklyn Nets @ Phoenix Suns at US Airways Center | Avg: $68.86 | Get-in: $8
Need even more value? Nets tickets have it in spades on the 25th, when Brooklyn and Phoenix fans get together for a Nets vs. Suns clash at the US Airways Center. It’s no secret that both the Suns and Nets lack elite talent and aren’t making playoff pushes, but fans won’t balk at an NBA game with tickets floating just under $70 on average. This is another chance to take advantage of excellent prices on lower level seating, while fans can pay as little as $8 just to get in the door to see Devin Booker and co. host the Nets.
2/27/2016 – Brooklyn Nets @ Utah Jazz at Vivint Smart Home Arena | Avg: $110.06 | Get-in: $14
Nets tickets pick up a bit for this February 27 battle against Gordon Hayward and the Jazz, but that makes sense with Utah still in the Western Conference playoff picture. Utah also sports some solid star power, too, with bigs Derrick Favors and Rudy Gobert giving Thaddeus Young and Brook Lopez a lot to think about inside the paint.
2/29/2016 – Brooklyn Nets @ Los Angeles Clippers at Staples Center | Avg: $103.94 | Get-in: $8
Arguably the top draw of the month comes in Brooklyn’s final game of February against the Clippers in Los Angeles. Staples Center is always a good spot to take in a live NBA game, but it’s even better when you throw in the likes of Chris Paul, J.J. Redick and DeAndre Jordan. Nets fans making the trip can hang their hat on some solid value, while this is yet another opportunity to take advantage of some cheap premium seating. Should fans enter ahead of time for a chance to win the 24 Hour Fitness ticket giveaway, they could be looking at an entry for basically nothing, which would help off-set travel costs.
Suffice to say, February is a pretty loaded month of Nets basketball, even with just two full weeks to go. Most of Brooklyn’s action comes on the road, but with five of the six games coming in under $111 on average, the value is clear to see.
