GreenLight Madness: Celtics Top 64 Plays (#13 Seed vs #52 Seed)

As the Dallas Mavericks evened up the NBA Finals with an exhilarating Game 4 win last night, LeBron James was a 4th quarter no-show.  The Madness tournament is not a no-show today as we continue along with the matchups.  Rajon Rondo's bold play against Carmelo Anthony along with Jeff Green's return to the tournament are highlighted.

Seed #13: Rondo D's Up Melo and Pierce Drills a Three – About mid-way through the third quarter of a close playoff game with the Knicks, Carmelo got the ball at the top of the three-point line ready to go to work.  His eyes lit up when he saw the much smaller Rondo checking him straight up.  Rondo accepts the challenge head on, much like when he did against LeBron.  He forces Melo to a long jumper, doesn't foul him, and in transition on the next play finds a trailing Paul Pierce who drills a three.  Rondo takes on anyone and it's a great thing to watch.

Seed #52: Jeff Green blocks Marreese Speights – It's garbage time late in a blowout game against the Philadelphia 76ers.  It's late in the season and the Celtics have the game well in hand.  For all of the criticism (some of it is deserved) Jeff Green has received since "The Trade," this was a nice effort by never letting up no matter what the score is.  Keep in mind that at the time, there was still a strong possibility that the C's and Sixers were going to meet in a first round matchup, so this would have been a nice message to send them.  As Marreese Speights drives baseline to the hoop, he thinks he has a clear path for a loud slam.  Green meets him in the air and rejects the effort.
