With the rumors that Nenad Krstic is on his way out of Boston and over to Russia, he makes his tournament debut today. Krstic played great when he first arrived in Boston, opening eyes with his surprising ability to crash the boards and score more efficiently than most centers they've had recently. Then he began thinking and worrying far too much and his production tapered off. But he did have some solid highlights in the second half of the season.
Going up against Krstic is Paul Pierce and specifically, the Captain Clutch version of Pierce. The Celtics were dismissed in five games to the Miami Heat, but in their only win in Game 3, Pierce drilled a pair of key three-pointers, including a bomb that sealed the game.
Seed #14: Pierce's Threes Seal Game 3 Win For C's – With about two minutes left in the fourth quarter and the Celtics up by 12, Rondo finds Pierce camping on the baseline and drills the first three. Then a minute later, the Celtics move the ball around as Delonte West kicks it out to Pierce who is a couple of steps in from half court and connects on a bomb to seal the game.

Here, Rajon Rondo initiates him into the Green Alley-Oop Club. KG and Jeff Green force a bad pass which Krstic intercepts to get the break going. Krstic then gets rewarded for running the floor by tossing down a two handed slam from a Rondo lob.
