GreenLight Madness: Celtics Top 64 Plays (#28 Seed vs #37 Seed)

Tonight is the NBA Draft and what better way to celebrate than to feature the Celtics best draft pick since Paul Pierce in 1998.  Ok so Danny Ainge didn’t technically draft Rajon Rondo in 2006, but he more or less did.  Essentially he instructed Phoenix to draft him, then trade him to the C’s, which was without question his best pick.

Seed #28: Rondo’s Up And Under Lay-up vs San Antonio – The Celtics were completing a relatively disappointing month of March which featured several opportunities wasted to win games (LAC, @NJ, @HOU, MEM, CHA, @IND) that they should have won, thus earning a higher seed.  The final game at San Antonio turned out to be one of the highlights of the season, and this lay-up by Rondo was fantastic.  The first quarter is winding down, and the C’s are trailing.  Rondo works a quick give-and-go at the top of the three-point line with Glen Davis as Pierce clears out Tony Parker, Rondo flips it up and in.

Seed #37: – Rondo Drills to End Quarters – These are not replays of each other, but two plays in which Rondo displays how to go the length of the court to beat the buzzer… in 4 seconds or less.
